Displayed in The Esther Annenberg Simon Gallery, the Museum's collection of modern art is particularly rich in the work of American artists who exhibited at Alfred Stieglitz's New York galleries: The Little Galleries of the Photo-Secession, "291" (1905–17), The Intimate Gallery (1925–29), and An American Place (1929–46).
