With a floor of inlaid marble, this gallery re-creates the dining room in the Lehman residence and displays the family's distinguished collection of European glass, now on view again after a recent gallery restoration. Significant examples include glasses belonging to the Medici popes of the sixteenth century and King Louis of France of the late fifteenth century. Sixteenth-century Venetian glass, the most coveted by wealthy European patrons, comprises the heart of the Lehman Collection's holdings in this medium. The fifteenth-century Italian mirror frames flanking the doorways belong to Robert Lehman's highly distinguished collection of antique frames.
