This was the last piece of linen used in the wrapping of Wah's mummy. Although red-dyed linen is mentioned in a number of ancient texts, actual examples are rare.
Excavated by the Egyptian Expedition of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, 1920. Acquired by the Museum in the division of finds, 1920.
