Marking: (1) F/FROMENT, a sheaf of wheat, in a horizontal lozenge (maker's mark, registered 1833, broken 1853; under foot of ewer and on bottom of tray); (2) FROMENT-MEURICE (under foot of ewer and on bottom of tray); (3) Head of Minerva, numeral 1, in vertical octagon (Paris mark for 1st standard silver, 1838 to present; on ewer: on band above rim, at top below rim on one side, on handle at juncture below cipher; on top of rim and on bottom of tray).
