    Interior, man courting woman
    Exterior, obverse and reverse, couples; each figure is named

    Scenes with amorous encounters bring out Makron's particular talents. Not only does he dispose the figures easily in a wide variety of poses but he also revels in the depiction of women's drapery and the underlying body.

    Signature: Signed by Hieron as potter

    Inscription: Inscribed on the interior: "Antiphanes is most handsome; fair" for the woman. Exterior, Charinides with Aphrodisia; Sionysigenes; Lakrias and Naulkeia. (The latter is called beautiful); Nikostrate with Nikon; Kallistrate with Eulkes; Peleia with Nikosthenes.
