    Inscription: The verso of the early mount is annotated and signed in pen and brown ink by Charles Gasc (Lugt 1066): " Barbieri (Giovanni-francesco) detto il Guercino né à Cento près de Bologne en 1590 et mort en 1666. Elève de Gennari / (Benedetto) le vieux / dessin acheté 20f à Paris le 21 Avril 1860 / h=0m288 - L=0m426"; it is also annotated in graphite: "26."

    No watermark visible: sheet glued on to an old mount.
