This incomplete object probably served as part of a brazier for burning sacrificial offerings during purification rites. The circle-on-a-square configuration is echoed in the fire-offering ladles displayed nearby. The square base displays a meandering lotus-flower decoration and the drum a variant vine design marked by four flaying knives in high relief, each with a half-vajra hilt and a crescent-moon blade. The rim has a band of alternating gold and silver vajras, a pattern repeated on the interior surface. All the gold and silver decoration is damascened.
