Incense burner with its chain
Ptolemaic Period
Not on view
This round incense burner has a flat bottom and domed lid decorated around the edge with triangles perhaps meant to mimic a floral pattern, with an inner circle composed of pairs of drop-shaped holes that provided a place for the smoke to escape. A corroded chain made from four braided wires was found inside.
