The bamboo of this blind is wrapped with multicolored silk threads to form the pattern of a central red bat holding a jeweled disc. The bat is enclosed by blue scrollwork against the background of a floral scroll in delicate shades of green, cream, and yellow. In general, the bat symbolizes good fortune since the word for bat is a homophone with that for good fortune (fu).
