The Family Benefit, Heroes and Heroines at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, offers kids of all ages the opportunity to enjoy creative activities in select Museum galleries, as well as dinner, dancing, and live entertainment.

Individual Tickets

The Bravery Package: $575

  • Explore the world of heroes and heroines with your family with two adult tickets and two child tickets to The Family Benefit.
  • Recognition at the benefit
  • Within the limits prescribed by law, $347 is tax deductible.

Dionysus at the Met: $1,500

  • Enjoy a private gallery tour for a maximum of four people (at a later date), followed by complimentary cocktails on the Balcony Bar (on a Friday or Saturday evening; adults only).
  • Six tickets to The Family Benefit
  • Recognition at the benefit
  • Within the limits prescribed by law, $604 is tax deductible.

The Grandparents' Fearless Explorer Package: $2,000

  • Experience the permanent collection with a private family gallery tour for a maximum of six people (at a later date).
  • Keepsake family photo taken at The Family Benefit
  • Six tickets to The Family Benefit
  • Recognition at the benefit
  • Within the limits prescribed by law, $1,238 is tax deductible.

The Heroic Adventure Package: $2,250

  • Embark on a private family gallery tour for a maximum of eight people (at a later date), followed by high tea in The Petrie Court Café.
  • Eight tickets to The Family Benefit
  • Recognition at the benefit
  • Within the limits prescribed by law, $1,096 is tax deductible.

Heroes Who Protect the Met: $2,500

  • Help welcome sixteen thousand visitors to the Met by assisting the Museum's security officers with opening the building (at a later date; for a maximum of six people).
  • Six tickets to The Family Benefit
  • Recognition at the benefit
  • Within the limits prescribed by law, $2,008 is tax deductible.

Arts and Crafts at the Met: $5,000

  • Visit the galleries and then have your own private art class in the Ruth and Harold D. Uris Center for Education for a maximum of six children (at a later date). Following your class, enjoy a box-lunch picnic in the Uris Center.
  • Met Family Circle Membership for one year (includes six complimentary tickets to The Family Benefit)
  • Recognition at the benefit
  • Within the limits prescribed by law, $3,146 is tax deductible.

The Philanthropist: $6,000

  • Underwrite an exciting Family Benefit activity or entertainer.
  • Met Family Circle Membership for one year (includes six complimentary tickets to The Family Benefit)
  • Recognition at the benefit
  • Within the limits prescribed by law, $4,634 is tax deductible.

Feast of Horus: $6,000

  • Learn the history of the Temple of Dendur in The Sackler Wing and the Egyptian Galleries (at a later date; for a maximum of six people). Following your tour, enjoy a picnic in the Temple of Dendur in The Sackler Wing.
  • Met Family Circle Membership for one year (includes six complimentary tickets to The Family Benefit)

  • Within the limits prescribed by law, $3,876 is tax deductible.

Arms and Armor at the Met: $6,000

  • View the Met's collection of arms and armor from a range of cultures (at a later date; for a maximum of six people). Following your tour, enjoy high tea in The Petrie Court Café.

  • Recognition at the benefit
  • Within the limits prescribed by law, $4,005 is tax deductible.

Quest to The Cloisters: $6,500

  • Journey to The Cloisters, the Metropolitan Museum's branch dedicated to medieval art in northern Manhattan, and take a private tour of heroes and heroines in the collection. Following the tour, enjoy a plein air informal lunch at The Trie Café (April–October; tour and lunch for a maximum of six people).
  • Met Family Circle Membership for one year (includes six complimentary tickets to The Family Benefit)

  • Within the limits prescribed by law, $4,599 is tax deductible.

Fashion Hero at the Met: $7,000

  • Enjoy an early morning viewing of The Costume Institute's spring exhibition, PUNK: Chaos to Couture, before the Museum opens, followed by a private art class with projects inspired by the exhibition (at a later date; for a maximum of six children). Following your class, have a morning snack in the Museum's new Balcony Lounge for Members at the Sustaining level and above.

Tickets to The Family Benefit will be held at the door. Ticket packages are limited and are redeemable within one year of purchase.
