Come study in the most exciting classrooms—the galleries of the Metropolitan Museum! These extended art history programs (which can include art making) bring together knowledgeable instructors, small groups of learners, and Museum masterpieces.

Short Courses

Extend your study of art and examine great artworks from different perspectives! Join other adults for thematic, multisession courses that combine lectures and gallery explorations led by Met experts and guest specialists.

Studio Workshops

Create your own artwork inspired by objects in the collection and learn new methods of art making with the guidance of expert artists and designers. Open to adults of all levels of experience.

Membership Classes for Adults

Members at the Sustaining ($550) level and above are invited to subscribe to three engaging lecture series—Four Greek Masterpieces, Monday at the Met, and Saturday Seminar.

Membership Classes for Children

Art programs for children of Members at the Family/Dual ($200) level and above offer children the unique experience of learning about art in a studio setting or in the Museum's galleries.
