A Month of Sundays: Winter-Spring 2009
"A Month of Sundays" is a new series of classes for children ages six through twelve (and their adult companions) that encourages curiosity about art. Starting in January, each month's four-session course will cover one specific period of time in art history, such as: Ancient Mythology; The Art of the Pharaohs; The Time of Knights; and Vincent van Gogh. A fee is required for these classes and participation is limited to twenty-four participants. See the calendar for more information, including rates and registration.
Get to Know the Met
The next time you come to the Museum, pick up a copy of the new Family Map to help you get to know the Met's wonderful treasures. A set of clues will inspire children of all ages to look carefully as they explore the Museum, and a fold-out color poster of the highlights of the collection is a fun way to remember your visit.
