Classes for Children

Art programs for children of Members at the Family/Dual ($200) level and above offer children the unique experience of learning about art in a studio setting or in the Museum's galleries. Beginning at the age of 3 and continuing through 15, students have the opportunity to explore and discover the Museum's collection.

A Book, Then Look (Ages 3 1/2–5)

This class explores the Museum's collections cross-culturally through books and works of art. After reading together, the class will look at works of art in the galleries.

Parent-Child Workshops (Ages 3–6)

In this class, adults and children are invited to explore and discover art in both a studio setting and the Museum's galleries.

Art Mornings and Afternoons (Ages 5–10)

In Art Mornings and Afternoons, students explore their own creativity while discovering art in a studio setting and the Museum's galleries.

Drawing in the Galleries (Ages 8–14)

Students explore a variety of drawing techniques and materials as they visit the galleries and then create their own art based on what they see.
