Pause for Pegasus: The Inspiration of Antiquity (Ages 9–12)

Art programs for children of Members at the Family/Dual ($210) level and above offer students the unique experience of learning about art, either in a studio setting or in the Museum's galleries.

The timeless myths and legends of ancient Greece and Rome come alive in this unique class! Explore the links between art and literature through readings from classical authors, role play, sketching, and discussion of works of art throughout the Museum's galleries. Make creative connections that reach across space and time.

Pause for Pegasus classes, led by art historians and Museum educators Jean Sorabella and Giovanna Termini, are for children ages 9–12 years only. This is a drop-off program; however, interested adults are welcome to attend. Classes are limited to 20 children; space is limited and preregistration is required.
