This tour explores the Metropolitan's dramatic galleries for Oceanic art, which feature more than four hundred works of sacred sculpture and decorative arts from the five major regions of the Pacific: Melanesia, Polynesia, Micronesia, Australia, and Island Southeast Asia. The department's works date primarily from the eighteenth century to the present.
