From Fra Angelico to Francisco de Zurbarán, the European Paintings galleries present a virtual alphabet of outstanding pictures from the thirteenth through the eighteenth century. A guided tour of the galleries typically includes a selection of portrait, narrative, and landscape paintings chosen among Italian, Flemish, Dutch, German, Spanish, English, or French masters.
