Follow in the footsteps of medieval pilgrims on this program of selective hikes along St. James' Way, enjoying spectacular monuments, fine cuisine and wine, and deluxe hotels. From Pamplona, drive to Roncesvalles to receive your credencial (pilgrim passport) and take your first walk. Stay in Elciego, the "City of Wine," and visit important cathedrals in Logroño and Burgos. In León, see Gaudí's neo-Gothic Casa de Botines, and other architectural masterpieces. Conclude in Santiago de Compostela to witness the famous incense-burning ritual at the cathedral, and see the sunset at Cape Finisterre, thought to be "the end of the Earth."
