    The Disderi Archive is of unparallel interest for the history of photography, society and fashion. Most of the albums in the sale were pre-empted by the French Museums (Bibliothèque Nationale de France, Orsay, Musée de l'Armée, Compiègne etc.)

    Maurice Levert (1858-1944) assembled an outstanding collection on the military history of the Second Empire, and received the Disdéri Archive from General Rebora.
