    Kono haru mo
    hana ni asobamu
    hatsuhi kage since this year’s first sunrise
    nioeru sora zo
    sakura iro naru
    Later this spring
    we shall frolic amid flowers,
    since this year’s first sunrise
    has brightly tinged the sky
    the color of cherry blossoms!
