In the foreground, a female musician sits before a hunting tower playing a sitar, while an antelope stands transfixed before her by the music. From the turret of the tower, Krishna gestures toward a leopard retreating over the horizon. The scene is in a typical Rajasthan rocky landscape filled with stunted trees, a favored setting for Kota court paintings.
