Although for the most part Abakanowicz’s figures have no definite sex or age, "Bambini" (1998-99) explores a more adolescent body type seen in the earlier series "Flock" (1989-90), "Puellae" (1992), and "Infante" (1993). Abakanowicz wants such works to reveal the paradox of individuality and variety found within sameness.
