Compare these images:

In the detail on the left you can see through the soft edges of the clouds to the blue sky beyond. The right detail depicts a solid material that has folds. It was definitely not designed to be seen through and you might be very surprised if you could see behind it! (Click the detail on the left to see the whole image.)
