Yes, this object is made from bronze, which consists of copper and tin, and is cast from a mold. The artist probably created a wax model of this dancer first and then made a clay mold around the wax figure. As the hot metal was poured into the clay mold, the wax melted and ran out of the mold. When the bronze cooled in the mold, it took the form of the wax figure. This way of casting metal is known as the lost wax process.
