Gold with rock crystal, emeralds, pearls, and spinel or
balas rubies
The Cloisters Collection, 1983 (1983.434)

This small gold-mounted rock-crystal boat rests on a high knopped stem above a tapered conical base. It is a rare example of early Gothic secular goldsmiths’ work and a marvel of exquisite craftsmanship.
