This is a palm tree, easily identified by its long trunk, scaly bark, and the branches that all shoot from the top of the tree. Coconuts and dates grow on palm trees.

A real palm tree is much taller than most other trees. The palm tree in this carpet is shown the same size as the other trees. If the artist who designed this carpet had made the palm tree in proportion to the plants and animals of the carpet, it would have filled almost the whole space!

Go back to the carpet to find another animal, flower, or tree.
