![]() Detail of Fudô Myô-ô |
You have chosen the painted stand under Fudô Myô-ô's feet. It takes the shape of rocks, hard and unmoving objects that symbolize Fudô's determination to guard the Buddhist faith. Other Buddhist figures and deities stand on lotus-shaped platforms. The lotus is a plant that lives in muddy, shallow ponds. When it blooms, its flower symbolizes the true goodness of all beings even though they must live in a "muddy" world full of suffering. | ![]() |
