This almost cylindrical vase is softened by repoussé, which adds a degree of realism to the ears and stalks of corn. The verticality of the vase is accentuated by the thick, nearly straight stalks that rise from base to rim. The subtle, natural, translucent colors range from the golden hues of the ears to the delicate greens and yellows on the highly detailed foliage. The soft, semimatte shaded exterior contrasts sharply with the bright, solid blue of the opaque enamel coating the interior.
