This vase is the quintessential example of Tiffany's rendering of the peacock feather in glass. The motif was one that intrigued Tiffany and other artists of the period. The fan shape of the vase echoes the peacock's spread plumage; the threads of glass realistically replicate the strands of the feathers; and it admirably showcases Tiffany's famed iridescence.
