Tiffany's vases in the shapes of flowers are among his most fanciful creations. The earliest were tall, slender, budlike vases, which varied in coloration from pale pink and white to darker and more opaque green and red. Later, the slender buds gave way to open blossoms with ruffled edges on willowy stems, such as this example.
