Instructions for Downloading Screen Savers

Back to all screen savers

Two versions of each screen saver are available for download. The first version is for Windows (95 and above) and the second version is for Macintosh.

Windows

1. Select the screen saver version that you wish to download.

2. A "File Download" dialogue box will appear. Save the program to a disk, or select the directory in which you would like to save it on your computer.

3. A "Copying" dialogue box will appear. When the download is complete, select "Open." A dialog box will appear with the message, "The screen saver was installed successfully."

Macintosh Classic

1. Select the screen saver version that you wish to download. The file will download automatically.

2. Drag the file from your desktop to the "Control Panel" in your "System" folder, and restart your computer. The screen saver will be installed in your "Control Panel" folder. (Please note that no more than one screen saver can be installed at a time.)

3. Select the screen saver from your "Control Panels" menu and select the "On" button in the dialogue box to enable it.

Macintosh OS X*

1. Select the screen saver version that you wish to download. The file will download automatically.

2. Select the screen saver installation file on your desktop to begin installation. The screen saver will be installed in the "Screen Saver" menu of your "System Preferences" folder.

3. Select the screen saver from your "Screen Saver" menu and then exit the "Screen Saver" menu to enable it.

*Please note that the only screen saver currently available for Macintosh OS X is Ancient Near Eastern Art. We apologize for any inconvenience.
