Request Images for Scholarly Publishing
The Museum has contributed a selection of publication-quality images of works of art in its collections to the Images for Academic Publishing (IAP) program hosted by the ARTstor Digital Library. These images are available free of charge for use in scholarly publications, including journal articles, small print-run publications (up to two thousand copies), electronic reference materials, or classroom materials, under the terms of a limited license. Scholars at participating ARTstor institutions can access these images directly through the ARTstor Digital Library. Scholars not affiliated with an ARTstor subscribing institution can e-mail either the Museum at scholars.license@metmuseum.org or ARTstor at iap@artstor.org to request temporary access to this collection.
