MMA Burton photo TAA512

The gold mask of Tutankhamun is shown as it was found on his mummy, still covered with the resins and ointments that were poured over it; these had hardened and darkened. Several pieces of jewelry, including a black resin scarab, and hands of sheet gold, which adorned the mummy, are also visible.
