	Adapted from 20th-century American and European footwear in the Metropolitan's Costume Institute, the Museum's shoe ornaments are a tribute to the irresistible allure of the shoe, considered akin to works of art by many fashion historians. Our meticulously crafted miniatures are decorated to closely match the details of the originals. This elegant ornament is based on an original pair of evening shoes made of pink satin with a velvet bow from France, about 1961–62. Cast resin, hand painted.
