Clearance - William Morris Cherwell Scarf

	Poet, political activist, architect, and designer, William Morris (British, 1834–1896) ranks among the most influential figures of the Victorian era. In 1861, Morris cofounded the successful firm later known as Morris & Co. The company’s enduringly popular designs for wallpaper, stained glass, furniture, and fabric reflect Morris’s own interests in medieval art and the close study of nature, and were often densely patterned with flowers, leaves, and fruit. The design on the Museum’s scarf is based on the Cherwell curtain pattern, designed in 1887 by Morris’s workshop. Imported silk. 62 in. x 9 in. with self-fringe. Available only in olive.
