Cloisters Pear Earrings

	Fruits and flowers thrive at The Cloisters, a branch of the Metropolitan Museum devoted to the art and architecture of the Middle Ages. Opened in 1938, and located in Fort Tryon Park in northern Manhattan, the extraordinary building and gardens are designed in the style of a European monastery with three renowned cloister gardens to complete the setting. More than 300 species of plants inhabit The Cloisters, including a number of fruit trees. Our earrings have the distinction of being adapted from clippings taken directly from a pear tree at The Cloisters. 24K gold plate, lightly antiqued, with hand-blown colored glass. Length 1 1/4 in.
