Jeweled Renaissance-Style Bracelet
Jeweled Renaissance-Style Bracelet
The workshop of Peter Carl Fabergé (Russian, 1846–1920) crafted beautiful objets d'art from precious metals and gems, including unique and highly detailed jeweled eggs created for Czars Alexander III and Nicholas II of Russia. These delicate “works of fantasy” often memorialized important occasions in the reign of the imperial family. Among them, the Renaissance Egg was commissioned by Czar Alexander III and presented to his wife, Maria Feodorovna, on Easter Sunday, 1894. Our Jeweled Renaissance-Style Bracelet is based on the striking enamel band studded with diamonds that divides the two halves of the original magnificent egg. Made expressly for the Metropolitan Museum in the United States.

24K gold plate, hand enameled, with Swarovski™ crystals. Inner circumference 6 3/4 in.
