Frank Lloyd Wright® Coonley Playhouse Clock

	One of the most innovative and influential figures in modern architecture, Frank Lloyd Wright (American, 1867–1959) favored simplicity and good craftsmanship and design over opulence. Exhibiting bold originality both in structure and aesthetics, his pioneering work helped to bolster the ideals of the Arts and Crafts movement. The whimsical design on this clock is adapted from a 1908 stained-glass window made by Wright for the kindergarten, or playhouse, in the Avery Coonley residence (completed 1912) in Riverside, Illinois. Authorized by the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation, Taliesin West, Scottsdale, Arizona. Glass panel with metal base. Height 5 1/2 in., width 9 in., depth 2 in.
