Ottoman Palmette Necktie

	The striking palmette design on this tie was adapted from an original 17th-century silk panel in the Museum’s collection. The original, from Turkey during the Ottoman period, illustrates the taste of the time for splendid, densely patterned floral silks, and features palmettes framing bouquets of tulips, hyacinths, and other flowers. Imported silk twill. Fully-faced, with self-loop. Width 3 3/4 in. Available in black, royal blue, mustard, or turquoise.
