Tiffany Wisteria Blank Book
Tiffany Wisteria Blank Book

A master of many media, Louis Comfort Tiffany (1848–1933) was one of America’s most noted decorative artists at the turn of the century. Tiffany began his career as a painter but moved quickly to interior decoration and leaded-glass windows. He created revolutionary types of opalescent glass that radiated especially deep, vibrant hues, using variations in color and thickness of glass to achieve pictorial effects of unsurpassed subtlety and beauty. Under his direction, Tiffany Studios produced leaded-glass windows, lamps, and other extraordinary blown glass creations, many of which are found in the Museum's American Wing. The cover of the Museum’s blank book captures the brilliant colors of Wisteria, a leaded-glass window Tiffany completed around 1910 for the dining room of his extraordinary Long Island estate, Laurelton Hall. Produced in cooperation with the Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art, Winter Park, Florida.

128 archival quality acid-free lined pages. 7 in. x 9 in. Hardcover; with handstiched binding, an expandable inner pocket, and a faux leather magnetic closure.
