Frank Lloyd Wright® Coasters

One of the most innovative and influential figures in modern architecture, Frank Lloyd Wright (American, 1867–1959) favored simplicity, good craftsmanship, and design over opulence. Exhibiting bold originality both in structure and aesthetics, his pioneering work helped to bolster the ideals of the Arts and Crafts movement. The distinctive patterns decorating these coasters are adapted from art glass and windows in houses designed by Wright including the George Barton House in Buffalo, New York (ca. 1903), the Dana-Thomas House in Springfield, Illinois (1902–04), and the Frank Lloyd Wright Home and Studio in Oak Park, Illinois (1893). Authorized by the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation, Taliesin West, Scottsdale, Arizona.

Sandstone, with bronze-tone metal insert; cork backed. 4 1/4 in. square. Boxed set of 4 (1 each of 4 designs).
