Anubis, the Egyptian god of the underworld and the protector of the dead, was often depicted as a dog or jackal. The original on which this sculpture is based is in the collection of The British Museum, London.

Metal, hand colored and lead free. Length 2 1/2 in.; height 1 7/8 in.
