Viewing the Neapolitan Nativity scene displayed with the Metropolitan Museum's Christmas tree has become a holiday tradition for thousands of Museum visitors. Loretta Hines Howard gave her collection of crèche figures, including the magnificent group called the Adoration of Angels, to the Metropolitan in 1965. Our holiday cards feature four of these famous late 18th–early 19th century Neapolitan angels that grace the Museum's annual tree.
