Adapted from 20th-century American and European footwear in the Metropolitan's Costume Institute, the Museum's shoe ornaments are a tribute to the irresistible allure of the shoe, considered akin to works of art by many fashion historians. Our meticulously crafted miniatures are decorated to closely match the details of the originals. This elegant ornament is based on an original pair of satin and leather evening shoes from 1959–60 decorated with black hearts.

Cast resin, hand painted. Height 2 1/4 in., width 1 1/4 in., length 3 1/2 in. Includes a golden cord for hanging.
