Contemporary painter and draftsman Terry Winters's style ranges from organic forms, such as pods and embryos, to layered, abstract fields. Since the early 1980s he has been particularly active as a printmaker, working in a variety of techniques including intaglio, lithograph, woodcut, screen print, and linoleum cut. This catalogue consists of a short essay that explains Winters's trajectory from his early organic imagery to the more complex and finely abstract webs in his current work, along with a checklist of the approximately 90 prints that are on view at the Museum.
