Adapted from 20th-century American and European footwear in the Metropolitan's Costume Institute, the Museum's shoe ornaments are a tribute to the irresistible allure of the shoe, considered akin to works of art by many fashion historians. A Museum tradition for nearly a decade, our meticulously crafted miniatures are decorated to closely match the details of the originals. This elegant ornament is based on a stunning evening pump with a rounded toe, a shaved French heel, and crossed bands at the center of the vamp.

Cast resin, hand painted. Length 3 3/4 in. Includes a golden cord for hanging.
