Marc Chagall: The Birthday with Palette Framed Print

Russian-born artist Marc Chagall (1887–1985) created a series of tender images inspired by the memoirs of his wife, Bella. After her death, the artist published First Encounter, an illustrated chronicle of their meeting and falling in love. Our framed print features a reproduction of one of these illustrations. Produced in cooperation with the Israel Museum, Jerusalem. Artwork ©ADAGP, Paris 1999.

Hand silk-screened on textured paper and framed in black with gold detailing, with single mat and plexiglass cover. 18 1/2 in. x 15 in. Includes hanging hardware.
