Peter Carl Fabergé (Russian, 1846–1920), jeweler to the last two czars of the Romanov dynasty, emphasized creativity and workmanship in making his intricate objets d'art, which included magnificent jewelry, clocks, enamel cigarette cases, boxes, and frames. The design on the Museum’s earrings is based on an original Fabergé piece—a jeweled forget-me-not flower of gold, diamonds, turquoise, and nephrite. Produced in cooperation with The Cleveland Museum of Art, and made expressly for the Metropolitan Museum in the United States.

24K gold plate, with crystals and cultured freshwater pearls (color of pearls may vary). Diameter 1/2 in. Pierced, with 14K gold posts.
