A man joins hands with the first of two girls who stand one before the other while the second girl raises her hand in his direction. The man wears a long blue mantle with black fringe that covers his otherwise nude body. The girls wear long pink robes gathered at the waist. A faintly preserved looped yellow ribbon on the gray background above the girls suggests an indoor, domestic setting for this touching scene of greeting or farewell.
