    The tapestry room from Croome Court was the first of a series of rooms with tapestries woven at the Royal Gobelins Manufactory in Paris. It was begun in 1763 and completed in 1771. The Axminster carpet did not originally belong to the room; it was woven after an Adam design in the 1770s for the library at Harewood House in Yorkshire.
