This bronze tripod was cast from a mold. Its circular rim, decorated with a simple V-pattern in relief, is supported on three bowed legs joined by horizontal braces. Most known examples of cast tripods come from tombs and sanctuaries. This tripod is said to be from Idalion, the site of an ancient city-kingdom on Cyprus.
